Progressive Metalcore outfit, Elision have released a music video for their new single "The Other".

The Other is centred around the literal and metaphorical toxicity of a not-so-distant future environment. This toxicity is visually represented by the ominous figure in the music video, who adorns a gask-mask as they explore an apocalyptic underground tunnel.
The Other asks the vexed question: “Is there no alternative?” Is there no conceivable alternative to society in its current state, a state that suffocates millions -both literally and metaphorically. The track was produced and mixed by Elision’s own Kofi Badu and mastered by industry heavyweight Buster Odeholm of Impact Studios (Born of Osiris, Humanity’s Last Breath)
Elision’s name came about from the bands formation and the shared goal of the group; a collection of different inspirations and ideas that come together to make one, effective sound. Preserving their titular inspiration, Elision’s past two singles Human Vessel and The End of Man served to create a middle ground between the quartet’s previous breed of heavy music and their newly introduced style, consolidated in The Other. Having received attention from the likes of Maniacs, Wall of Sound and Discovered Magazine, along with radio time from Triple J’s The Racket, the group is building a following amongst one of the most thriving scenes in the world.
The group spent the later stages of 2019 refining their live sound, taking on sold out album launches and interstate appearances with national juggernauts Dealer, Above, Below, The Gloom In The Corner and many more.
Taking inspiration from progressive heavyweights such as Loathe, Gravemind and Lotus Eater, Elision have solidified their new direction with The Other, and will continue to take 2020 as their biggest year yet.
