Rising out of northern Pennsylvania, the no-frills hardcore quintet, CHOICE TO MAKE, revealed the latest single "June" today from their upcoming EP, Vicious Existence, due out February 14th via Flatspot Records. CHOICE TO MAKE recalls a time in hardcore when unbridled energy and thought-provoking lyrics were all that mattered. This latest drop and the previously released lead single "Disconnect" are great snapshots of their refined songwriting, raw power, and the thematic exploration of one's principals found on the band's label debut. “June” is available to stream on Bandcamp or Spotify and pre-orders for the EP are available here.
Vocalist Nate Preschutti told Cvlt Nation, who debuted the track, "The message of “June” is just about trying your best to live in the current moment. It’s easy to get hung up on the things you have done or the opportunities you’ve missed and at the same time it’s just as easy to be worried about what’s to come; whether it’s the unknown future or the fear of not completing the goals you have set. The title of the song is after my grandmother June, she would always say “live in the moment”. Caleb wrote most of the music for the track and we laid it out as song together as a group. It’s definitely a good way to close to record musically."

Fresh off the heels of a 2018 demo from 12Forty Records and a 2019 promo released through the Streets of Hate fanzine, CHOICE TO MAKE is marching bravely into 2020 with a new EP, Vicious Existence, set to be released on February 14th through Flatspot Records. This new material is undoubtedly the group’s strongest and most serious effort to date, with lyrics dealing with our society’s unbalance of power, the disparity between the haves and the have-nots, and the challenges that face any person attempting to live by a code of true morality. The energy of the music reflects this grey area of morality explored in the lyrics, with vicious riffs and fast-paced grooves counterbalanced tastefully by plodding breakdowns and evocative chord structures.
