Summer Breeze festival 2019 have confirmed new bands for the next year's edition of the festival!
Can we call our next confirmation a shooting star? We definitely think so! Gentlemen, please welcome CYPECORE at SUMMER BREEZE 2019!
Just recently the guys from Mannheim deservedly won Metal Hammer's “Up And Coming” award and their last show in Dinkelsbühl drew the masses to the stage. Despite the competition. Your calls for CYPECORE were impossible to ignore, so the guys will plow through the fields with their modern metal again in 2019. And more than enough, that much we (and they) can promise! We can't reveal more than that just yet...
With the following confirmation we present you a band that is absolutely unique in the heavy metal genre. The ladies and gentlemen of Van Canto are coming to Dinkelsbühl.
If there was really anybody who hasn't stumbled upon VAN CANTO despite their seven albums, they should know they are dealing with an a capella band. An a capella heavy metal band, to be more precise. VAN CANTO consist of six singers and a drummer. The rhythm and lead guitars, bass and keyboards are imitated using the singers' voices. So it's pretty extraordinary what these gentlemen will deliver on stage, and definitely worth a trip to the stage for all open minded listeners among you.
In 2019 they will celebrate their 30th anniversary – and will be playing live at SUMMER BREEZE: UNLEASHED!
These Swedes are definitely a constant in the death metal genre. Since the beginning of their career they have been dedicated to clearly structurted death metal without unnecessary adornments – and that's the way it should be. Already early on they were writing about viking subjects – long before the term viking metal even existed – so they can and should be considered forefathers of this scene (lyrically, not musically, that's quite obvious). The fact that, even after 30 years since their formation, they haven't lost their fucking touch is proven unmistakeably by the new album 'The Hunt For White Christ'. And that they can still convince in a live situation, you will see for yourself at SUMMER BREEZE 2019. Nuff said!
Today we can announce the participation of a fine hardcore jewel: Straight from Canada, GET THE SHOT are coming to SUMMER BREEZE 2019!
Even though, with their metallic guitars, GET THE SHOT can mostly be classified as modern hardcore, all HC veterans should find the band appealing too, as the Canadians manage to incoporate some old school influences in their compositions besides all beatdowns and thrashy parts. This should make GET THE SHOT attractive for hardcore fans of all age groups – especially live on stage, because they spread an incredible energy and are just absolutely massive!
Gridncore! Fun! Toilet brushes! Toilet paper! We really shouldn't need to write anything else about our next confirmation, GUTALAX!
The Czech know how to pimp up a gore'n'roll show with a cool stage production. Just have enough toilet brushes and paper with you, erm... The band's crushing porn grind obviously also convinces on its own, but you know the drill: This music doesn't really get entertaining until you get something wild to see on stage. And that's the case with GUTALAX. So the M.O. is: Leave your brain at the door, get a few fun drinks in you, toilet brush in hand, march down to the GUTALAX gig and have some fun! Even prog metal fans should get this right, huh!?
Just like the black pest, which brought fear and despair to large parts of Europe from the Bronze Age until the late 19th century, ROTTING CHRIST will also descend on Dinkelsbühl in August to spread one of the blackest plagues of all among you: The plague of black metal!
Musically, ROTTING CHRST have been following their own path for a long while. Sometimes they concentrate on occultism, then they go down a more mystical route, and next they experiment with electronic and post industrial elements. It's about time that Sakis and his lads bedevil us again at SUMMER BREEZE! After all, the Greeks' last visit was four long years ago. So ROTTING CHRIST are coming to this year's BREEZE to make up for their long absence. Look forward to a black metal inferno that won't leave anything to be desired. This epidemic is highly contagious and has no cure. Once you are infected, all hope is lost...
