WRITTEN BY WOLVES - Drop New EP, Releases "Promise Me" Music Video

New Zealand rock band Written By Wolves have released a music video for their new single "Promise Me". The music video features two of New Zealand's most promising up and coming dancers and is a raw, emotional look into the song.

Lead singer, Mikey Murphy, explains the meaning of the song, "Promise Me is all about the phone call between my Dad and I when he told me he had cancer. The lyrics in both verses replicate the initial conversation between us and alternate between my Dad and I narrating. The second verse progresses to a conversation we had in person after he had undergone surgery for the first time to try and understand more about the cancer and the battle we were facing. The chorus is my plea to him to fight and not let the cancer beat him. This is the most raw, emotional and honest song I have ever written lyrically but is probably the one I am most proud of to date."

The song comes from the band's new EP Prologue, which is out today on all streaming providers.

"Prologue sees us begin the story we've been planning for the last 3 years," says Murphy. "It is a signal of intent for what is to come and a snapshot of where the band is at right now. It draws from everything they have experienced since the bands inception, yet intends to invite and excite fans about the future of the band."
