THOUSAND THOUGHTS - Launch New Video Single "Perspectives" Via Marshall Records

The newly-named, London-based modern alternative quartet Thousand Thoughts have just launched a stellar new music video single for their track "Perspectives", which was produced by Romesh Dodangoda. Out now via Marshall Records, we'd love for you to take note of this amazing new band, which is available for interviews.

Following their signing to Marshall Records earlier this year and the subsequent release of their debut single "This One’s For You" on 22nd June 2018 (via Marshall Records and Eleven Seven Music), London-based alternative quartet Elswhere are proud to announce that they will move forward on their path to success under a new name - THOUSAND THOUGHTS!

To cement their new name in the minds of the masses, Thousand Thoughts are gifting fans and newcomers alike with a fresh dose of addictive, melodic and modern alternative rock to cling to. Released on November 9th via Marshall Records and Eleven Seven Music, the band’s brand new video single "Perspectives" sees the band return to their expansive, atmospheric alternative sound - and the return of producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Funeral For A Friend etc.), who lent his talents to the band’s previous single "This One’s For You".

Calling to mind the epic nostalgia of Linkin Park fused with the modern vibe of Twenty One Pilots, "Perspectives" sees lead vocalist and guitarist Ethan Smith drift comfortably across a furious combo of soaring, melodic passages framed with sharp, heartfelt rap sections - all dusted with gritty, agitated melodic screams. "Perspectives" is sure to please a broad range of listeners!

Once again diving into the depths of mental health issues and awareness, Ethan explains the inspirations behind the band’s latest single:
“‘Perspectives’ is about the obstacles depression itself creates, while using multiple points of view. One being how someone on the outside may see things, another being how a ‘sufferer’ and also their brain views things. The irony of the song comes from a real place that people can understand and relate to and the intention is to leave the listener thinking deeply”.

Hailing from Enfield, London, Thousand Thoughts have effectively exploded onto the modern alternative scene, seemingly from nowhere! Taking cues from the much-loved genres of nu-metal,pop-punk and alt-rock, the young quartet have risen from their initial formation to a label signing with Marshall Records and a single release in just a matter of months.

Back in January 2017, Thousand Thoughts performed together for the very first time under their original name ‘Elswhere’, and it wasn’t long before the band were showing off their skills at local shows. It was at one such show that they were discovered by fledgling record label Marshall Records, and quickly moved on to bigger events like Wilkestock festival, performing alongside the likes of VANT, Razorlight and The Sherlocks. Despite this, the band maintain their strong stance on mental health issues and the well-being of others, with a string of successful charity performances.

Thousand Thoughts’ debut "This One’s For You" was released 22nd June under their original name ‘Elswhere’, through Marshall Records and Eleven Seven Music. With support from Kerrang Radio, Rock Sound and BBC Introducing, the track is still causing a stir in the alt rock scene even after release, approaching 100,000 Spotify streams and 200,000 YouTube views.
