The genie is out of the bottle. Today, Graspop Metal Meeting unveils its first headliner for GMM19. On Friday 21 June we have Within Temptation. A firm favourite with the Dessel audience, this Dutch metal band delivers fire and brimstone of the highest order in its live shows. The forthcoming gig in Antwerp’s Lotto Arena on Saturday 17 November sold out months ago.
Graspop Metal Meeting 2019 takes place in the Stenehei Festival Park, Dessel, from Friday 21 June to Sunday 23 June included. Tickets go on sale on Saturday 27 October at 10 AM and are available from ticketmaster.be and proximusgoformusic.be. More names for GMM19 to follow shortly.
Within Temptation have stood at the peak of the European metal scene for two decades. The Dutch band, fronted by Sharon den Adel, has played all the major festivals in Belgium and beyond. Their last appearance at GMM was in 2015. On Friday 21 June in Dessel they present their seventh and musically groundbreaking new album, ‘Resist’ (due for release on 14 December). The all-new sound is more contemporary and even more rebellious than the audience are accustomed to from the band. The first single, "The Reckoning" (featuring Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach) has already caused an avalanche in the world’s streaming and rock radio charts.
