Deathcore outfit Apollyon are streaming their new single "Possession". The band also parted ways with vocalist. Read the full statement below!
“It is with mixed emotions that we announce that we are parting ways with our vocalist Nicholas Helmich.
There are no hard feelings toward him, and we wish him nothing but the best. That being said, his contributions to this band will not be forgotten, and so with that we are releasing this single as somewhat of a “farewell” sendoff.
This single was the start of a concept that he brought to the band about demon possession. Somewhat of a sequel to the song "Henchmen" from our 2016 full length, "What would you die for?", this song is from the point of view of a demon, trying to convince someone that there is no hope, and that there is only suffering.
Nick’s departure is hard for this band, but we are not slowing down.
It is with great pleasure that we announce that taking his place will be our good friend, Shelby Boyd. And with that, please join us in saying goodbye to Nick, by jamming this song, and lookout for new music on the way featuring our new vocalist, Shelby.”
