ISLANDER - Premiere "Darkness" Music Video, Announce Power Under Control Pre-order

slander has announced details behind Power Under Control, their upcoming album set for release on August 5th, 2016. Rolling Stone is premiering the first music video, “Darkness.”
On the lead off track, Mikey Carvajal says, “’Darkness’ is the first track on the record and really sets the mood for where our character is in their life. It's a song about indulging in anything and everything that makes them feel good for a moment. I feel like the anthem of this generation has become this idea of "I'm going to do what I want and what makes me feel good, even if it kills me." Sadly, this is where our character is at in ‘Darkness’.”
In February of 2016, Islander partnered again with producer Cameron Webb (Motorhead, Alkaline Trio) at NRG Studios, and over the next eight weeks the newly ignited foursome got to work on Power Under Control, recording twelve original tracks that showcase the quartet’s deeper complexion. Another familiar face in the fold is Bad Brains front-man HR on the anthemic sing-along “Think It Over.”
Various pre-order packages for Power Under Control (available August 5th) include limited edition colored vinyl, a variety of merchandise types, CDs and more are available now at All packages include an instant download of the song "Darkness". "Darkness" is available now on Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon Music and everywhere digital music is available.
