The “Garden”, will welcome hundreds of young people from all across Europe on Tuesday, August 30th to Monday, September 5th.
“The backyard of our Home is arising and it is going to be the driving force to live a week-end holiday full of music and tourism” – the organisations says.
And as for transport: partnerships with Blablacar , Busforfun and shuttles; airport and rail connections.
Home Festival has its own camping. That’s important news that leads the event to a major European level. “Those who participated at least once to great international live events understand how relevant this is” – states the group organising the event. “Now, our Home has a beautiful garden as well. We are bringing a community of young music enthusiasts to Treviso, whom will visit the city during their spare time and will be able to travel by train towards the neighbouring cities, fostering an unprecedented tourist spin-off.”
Simultaneously, Home Festival has started two important partnerships as far as the sustainable transport is concerned: Blablacar, the largest European car sharing network, and Busforfun, company specialised in transport to major events, will ensure connections from the greater Italian cities, from the nearby European capitals, but also from Pula and Ljubljana.

“Treviso as a major European city – says the mayor
Giovanni Manildo – the largest music festivals are also synonymous with
tourism in which the town is required, in synergy with all the
productive forces, to give hospitality. And so Treviso is preparing to
welcome this long awaited Home Festival’s edition. The opening of the
camping is an important action, another way to promote the economic and
artistic development of our city.”
“Home Festival is rightly considered among the artistic
events of our city – says the Councillor Paolo Camolei, responsible for
the developing and growing of the City of Treviso – to find an area for
the campsite for our visitors became a priority for both us and the
organizers. We are giving a response to all those young people willing
to enjoy these three Festival’s days so they will be able to do it
within a structure able to accommodate them – and I like to emphasize –
in complete safety. Previously, anyone was forced to get behind the
wheel even at night to reach the campsites in Jesolo and now you no
longer need to.”
At this point, Home Festival is one of the main actors
within the tourism industry of the whole territory between Treviso,
Padua and Venice, covering a younger audience who generally travels to
enjoy music, entertainment, culture and culinary traditions. According
to Ciset data, last year in Veneto, the most tourist Italian region,
there were 17,250,925 arrivals, one million more than in 2014 (+6.1 %
compared with the previous year) and HF wants to do its bit: these days a
collaboration agreement with Ostfest it’s being signed. Ostfest is one
of the largest European youth tourism agencies specialised in
festival’s.
From all over Italy and Europe a young crowd is coming to
Treviso, eager for music and socialising opportunities, and will stay
for a week accommodated in our “Garden”, designed to offer the highest
comfort standards: guests will just need to bring their own sleeping bag
and what is essential to best enjoy six days of great music, tourist
discoveries and culture. Among our services:
– Info point in Italian and English
– Accommodation in double tent with sleeping mat (thickness 1.5 cm) provided by the organisation
– Safe-deposit box provided with socket to recharge mobile phones, cameras, etc.
– Secure luggage storage
– Sanitary containers with showers, cleaned and sanitised 24h/24
– 24h/24 Transfer to and from the “Garden” and Treviso train station
– Reserved jump-the-queue entrance to Home Festival
– The campsite is under surveillance 24 hours a day and a
restaurant bar with Venetian specialties, as well as vegetarian and
vegan dishes, will be arranged inside

Blablacar, however, is not at its first
meeting with Home Festival: this year the platform for shared car trips,
that counts 30 million users worldwide, is one of HF’s transport
partners. It is available on the web and on an app for iOS and Android,
and connects connecting drivers with empty seats to people travelling the same way,
allowing them to share petrol costs and possible toll charges as well
as optimize resources that would otherwise be wasted (empty seats in
private vehicles already on the road). Blablacar is an inexpensive
travel solution, an eco-friendly social gathering, thanks to which those
who travel towards HF may share their love for music with other
travelers in their already shared ride. Blablacar is also present at
Home Festival with a dedicated space to relax, to share and play.
