The fourth edition of Rock Den See festival took place again on 10 and 11 July 2015, on
small but beautiful Lake St. Andra in Lavanttal. Sadley we could only atend the first day of the festival,
10.7. As usual, there were two stages.
On the first day of the fest, on the main stage we saw: TAPED, ANNISOKAY,
ADEPT, BREAKDOWN OF SANITY and ESKIMO CALLBOY. On the second stage we saw: KOMPASS NORD, LEONS MASSACRE, GNACKWATSCHN,
MATAKUSTIX and ALL FACES DOWN.
On the second day, place on the main stage took bands: JET PACK, THIRTEEN DAYS,
TAGTRÄUMER, KONTRUST, DAME, and on second stage: SENSYLIS, HORIZON OF
THE STATUE, KILL ROBOT KILL, SCREAM YOUR NAME, NORMANDIE.
Organizers took effort to quickly prepare the stages between bands. Breaks between bands were short, so we didn't have to wait long in between shows. Festival was opened by band Kompass Nord, on the second stage. The first band that we saw was Taped, post-hardcore band from Luxembourg, they pulled out a solid performance. Show was continued on second stage by Leons Massacre, local new metal / hardcore band.
Later on we saw post-hardcore band from Germany, Annisokay. They have laid their foundation with a driving rhythmic that brings to life soulful singing with earthshaking screams. Vocalist and frontmen Dave Grunewald has a strong stage presence. Great performance of the band is just improved by quitarist Christoph Wieczorek, who whit his clean vocals sounds great both on album and live. In the end of the show we could say Annisokay was more than okay.
Program was continued on the second stage by Ska band Gnackwatschn.
Later on was time for more established names, the first was metalcore band Adept from Sweden. Whit their great performance they have warm up the atmosphere for the following band Breakdown of Sanity. More people gathered in front of the stage. The performance was excellent, you can look at their performance on the video below.
Program continued whit Austrian Alternativ Volxmusik band Matakustix.
Than it was time for headliners of the night Eskimo Callboy. They made a true party whit their electro metal core (or as they call themselves porn metal) music. Even though they act crazy and freaky on stage, in person they are very down to earth and great interlocutors, which you will be able to hear in the interview, that will be posted in the coming days. The first day of festival was closed by the Austrian post-hardcore band All Faces Down.
