It`s on! Tolmin, Slovenia, has tripled its population since Monday when the week long eleventh edition of Metal Days festival started on the pittoresque site on the river.
Whether the evening scenes on three stages are also pittoresque is up for discussion. But it is all that more than 12.000 visitors asked for: around a hundred bands of the metal variety of which we can only mention a few.
This year`s headliners are the Danish attraction Volbeat, the legendary Megadeth, the ethericOpeth, the pompous Sabaton, the wild Heaven Shall Burn and the always crazy Children Of Bodom. As well as something for the undeground scene: the legendary Posesse, the cult bandTiamat and Suffocation with mad frontman Frank Mullen.
