VS / U Confront The Unknown With New Single “MIRAGE”

Gothenburg, Sweden’s VS / U (pronounced “Versus You”) bring their alternative rock/metal sound into focus with “MIRAGE,” accompanied by an official music video. Fronted by vocalist Sannie, the band combine clean singing with powerful screams, creating a contrast between melody and aggression that gives their sound its own character. With “MIRAGE,” VS / U offer a fresh introduction to their music, balancing the accessibility of alternative rock with the heavier edge of modern metal.

Sannie’s combination of cleans and screams provides a defining element of VS / U’s identity. Rather than relying on a single vocal approach, the contrast between melodic passages and harsher delivery opens up different emotional and musical possibilities. It is a balance that allows a track to move between tension and release, giving the music room to breathe before hitting with renewed force. “MIRAGE” puts that vocal versatility in focus, presenting a new entry point for listeners exploring the band’s sound.

Gothenburg has a long-standing place in Sweden’s heavy music landscape, and VS / U add their own name to the city’s contemporary scene. With Sannie leading the project, the band’s use of both clean vocals and screams offers a foundation for a sound that can embrace melody without losing its heavier edge. The official music video gives “MIRAGE” a visual companion, bringing the release to audiences while putting the band’s latest work front and centre.

Watch the official music video for “MIRAGE” and discover VS / U.
