SPIRITBOX Close Glasgow Show With Live Debut Of “Mourning”

SPIRITBOX marked the beginning of their 2026 UK and European tour in dramatic fashion on September 12, closing their 15-song set at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre’s Hall 3 in Glasgow with the live debut of “Mourning.” The newly released single became the final moment of the night, giving fans in attendance the first opportunity to hear the song performed onstage. A fan-uploaded recording from the show now captures this first live performance, documenting the arrival of a song that already carries a sense of transition for the band.

Before launching into “Mourning,” vocalist Courtney LaPlante spoke about the idea of new beginnings and leaving behind the hurt of the past, framing the song as part of a fresh chapter for SPIRITBOX. The Glasgow set drew heavily from the band's recent material while also reaching back across their catalog. “Fata Morgana” opened the show, followed by “Black Rainbow,” “Perfect Soul,” “Keep Sweet,” “Soft Spine,” “Cellar Door,” “Jaded,” and “The Void.” After the “Tsunami Sea Poem,” the band continued with “Tsunami Sea,” “Circle With Me,” “Holy Roller,” “Sew Me Up,” “Crystal Roses,” and “Ride the Wave” before arriving at the night's final surprise.

“Mourning” is the first new SPIRITBOX single since their 2025 album Tsunami Sea, arriving as a standalone release ahead of the band's European headline run. Produced with longtime collaborator Dan Braunstein, the track introduces another chapter for a band continuing to evolve while maintaining the emotional intensity that has defined its music.
