Minsk, Belarus-based SET TO HATE are turning up the pressure with “The Pit,” a new track that puts their groove-heavy approach front and center. Built around heavy, aggressive riffs and a driving, bouncy rhythmic foundation, the song captures the band’s ability to balance sheer weight with a sense of movement that keeps the momentum locked in. Their sound draws from metal, hardcore, and metalcore, creating a forceful blend where crushing guitar work and groove-driven passages collide with an uncompromising intensity. The band describes itself simply as a groovy metal act from Minsk, and “The Pit” gives that identity plenty of room to hit hard.
“The Pit” follows the band’s recent releases “I Speak Hate” and “Delirium,” establishing a growing body of work around their distinctive combination of groove and aggression. “I Speak Hate” was released in June 2025 and features vocals from Alex Rabets, guitars from Artem Render and Andy Nike, and drums from Vlad Kotko, with Nikolai Kovalevsky handling production, mixing, and mastering. “Delirium” followed in November 2025, further expanding the band’s recorded output.
At the heart of SET TO HATE’s approach is physical impact. The riffs are designed to carry weight without sacrificing bounce, while the hardcore and metalcore influence adds another layer of urgency to their groove-focused attack.
