HRTLSS Pull at the Loose Ends With “Pulling The Thread”

UK heavy rock outfit HRTLSS return with “Pulling The Thread,” a new track taken from their forthcoming EP The Devil On My Shoulder, arriving October 2. The song showcases the band’s genre-blurring approach, combining weighty rock and metal riffs with electronic pop textures, grunge grit and the darker tones of R&B.

“Pulling The Thread” thrives on contrast, shifting between heavy guitar-driven passages and atmospheric electronic elements to create a sound that feels both abrasive and polished. Rather than staying locked into one formula, HRTLSS allow different influences to collide, giving the track a restless and unpredictable character.

That balance between heaviness and atmosphere sits at the core of HRTLSS’ identity. The band use distorted riffs and rock intensity as a foundation, while electronic details and darker melodic textures add another layer to the track, creating something that feels equally suited to a dimly lit club and a packed rock venue.

“Pulling The Thread” offers another compelling preview of The Devil On My Shoulder, with HRTLSS continuing to push the boundaries of their sound ahead of the EP’s October 2 release.
