VERIDIAN Return With Emotionally Charged New Single "The Other Side"

UK alternative rock outfit VERIDIAN have unveiled their second single, "The Other Side," released via Year Of The Rat Records. Arriving on July 24, the new track continues the band's exciting new chapter ahead of their hometown headline show at Sub89 in Reading on August 14, 2026. Following previous support from Kerrang!, Rock Sound, Ticketmaster, BBC, and Upset, VERIDIAN continue to build momentum with a song that pairs soaring energy with deeply personal lyricism.

Musically, "The Other Side" is one of the band's most uplifting and energetic releases to date, blending driving instrumentation, anthemic melodies, and emotionally charged performances. Speaking about the new single, vocalist Simon Jackman shared: “Musically, this is one of the most upbeat and energetic songs we’ve written, which we loved because it allowed us to explore some much darker themes in the lyrics. The song is about loss, grief, and the questions we all ask ourselves about what happens after we’re gone, and whether the people we love ever really leave us. We wanted to capture that feeling of desperately wanting just one more conversation, while also holding on to the hope that memories keep people with us in some way. It’s a song that means a lot to us personally, and we’re really excited for people to hear the contrast between the uplifting energy of the music and the emotional weight of the lyrics.”
