Rising heavy rock/metal band Who They Fear have released their new single and music video, “Whiteout,” marking the latest chapter in the band’s evolving sound and rapidly growing momentum. Combining punishing instrumentals, aggressive vocals, soaring melodic hooks, and atmospheric textures, “Whiteout” showcases the band’s ability to blur genre lines while delivering something emotionally authentic and sonically intense.
Built from lived experience, Who They Fear’s music explores themes of struggle, resilience, reflection, and personal growth without sacrificing accessibility or impact. Over the past several months, the band has steadily unveiled four new singles, each signaling a refined creative direction and a bold new era for the group.
“‘Whiteout’ is about feeling like the industry doesn’t want me to be a part of it, like I’m being erased from my own community and forced to work twice as hard just to be seen. It’s about creating my own path and building my own legacy without letting the industry dictate where I go next. This song reflects the mental and emotional weight that comes with being overlooked as a smaller artist, but at its core, it’s about fighting through everything thrown at me and rising above it.” says Michael Dunn, vocalist of the band.
“Whiteout” was produced by vocal producer Hayden Calhoun and instrumental producer Jacob Lizotte. The music video was directed by Brendan McGlathery of Preta Path Productions.
From 2023 through 2026, Who They Fear have shared stages with an impressive lineup of national touring acts throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, including A Skylit Drive, Famous Last Words, Crown The Empire, Gideon, Veil of Maya, All That Remains, and Born Of Osiris among others, steadily building a reputation for their high-energy live performances.
