SharpTone Records recently welcomed Glasswaves, a Rochester, New York-based trio that seamlessly blends dark pop, alternative rock, and electronic elements with a heavy and dynamic edge, to the global roster.
Today, the band shares the industrially-tinged new single "doomed:2:DIE." It's bathed in hush vocal tones and electornics that will get bodies moving, while the breakdowns are heavier than a slab of granite. Watch the video BELOW!.
"'doomed:2:DIE' is what it feels like when your body is convinced it's dying, but your mind is trapped there to watch it happen," says singer Noah Rich.
Glasswaves previously dropped the video for the gloomy and glitchy new single "fvck.me.up." Watch it HERE!
Formed in May 2023, the lineup is rounded out by Owen Miller on guitar and Brendan Curtis on bass. In a short time, they have built a reputation for pairing atmospheric melody with explosive intensity, creating a sound that is both cinematic and emotionally raw. Their music moves fluidly between haunting, electronic driven verses and massive, high impact moments, offering a balance of accessibility and aggression that resonates across genres. Paired with their war paint aesthetic, Glasswaves deliver a live show that is immersive, visceral, and visually striking.
In 2025, the band won the grand prize at the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands and earned a main stage performance at Warped Tour. That same year, they toured extensively, performing nearly 60 shows and spending close to 80 days on the road, quickly establishing themselves as a compelling and consistent live act.
Now signed to Sharptone Records, Glasswaves are positioned for rapid growth as they continue to push boundaries and connect with a new generation of listeners. With a sound that refuses to be confined to a single genre and a proven work ethic on the road, the band stands ready to make a lasting impact across the alternative and heavy music space.
