BEHEMOTH Unleash ‘The Return Of Darkness And Evil’ As Mystic Festival 2026 Anthem

Polish extreme metal titans BEHEMOTH return with a commanding new release, unveiling “The Return Of Darkness And Evil” — a boisterous reinterpretation of the classic originally by BATHORY. Released alongside an official music video, the track arrives as the official anthem for Mystic Festival 2026, capturing the spirit of one of Europe’s most anticipated heavy music gatherings.

Speaking on the release, frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski describes “The Return Of Darkness And Evil” as the perfect embodiment of the festival’s atmosphere — a track that serves as its very musical manifestation. BEHEMOTH inject their signature intensity and blackened grandeur into the legendary composition, transforming it into a towering, modern extreme metal statement.

Set to take place in the band’s home country of Poland, Mystic Festival 2026 will be held in Gdańsk from June 3–6. Spanning four days, five stages, and featuring around 90 bands, the festival boasts a massive lineup including Megadeth, Black Label Society, Anthrax, Down, Mastodon, and Saxon among many others.

With “The Return Of Darkness And Evil,” BEHEMOTH not only pay homage to black metal’s roots but also reaffirm their dominance on the global stage — delivering an anthem that stands as both tribute and declaration, perfectly igniting the chaos that awaits at Mystic Festival 2026.
