Within Reach are kickstarting their 2026 with their first new music of the year. Having impressed UK metal fans and industry folks alike over the last year or so with their huge singles Armageddon and Drip Fed, The London based teenage five piece are showing a slightly different side of themselves this time on their new single Hesitate, which is out now for your listening and viewing enjoyment!
The riffs are still there by the bucketful, but Hesitate is a slightly more melodic offering than the previous two singles. You'll still want to bang your head to the point of neckache at times, but there are also more expansive sections of the track, allowing Within Reach to show there's plenty more to them than just the (extremely good) riffs.
Please check out the atmospheric video for Hesitate below. We'd all welcome a sky as pretty as this one after the endless British rain of 2026 so far!
To explain more about Hesitate, here's Within Reach's guitarist / co-vocalist Bailey Dopson:
"I wanted the narrative point of this song to open the listeners eyes. Life has its obstacles and sometimes we get consumed by these things that make us lose sight of what matters and our true selves. It’s even harder watching loved ones go through these motions and this is what the song was born from. The lyrics come from the stand point of these loved ones because I wanted to convey the juxtaposition in value to how someone can view themself compared to how valuable they are through the eyes of the people around them which is what I felt was a subject that needed light shed on it because I feel this song is a song people need to hear in the masses. The song moved me as I wrote it, I’m confident it’ll do the same for the people."
Hesitate is the follow up to Within Reach's last single, released in early Autumn 2025, the monstrous Drip Fed. Check out Drip Fed below:
