South West, UK alternative rock outfit LOVELOST return with a powerful and emotionally charged new single, “Don’t Set Yourself On Fire (Just To Keep Someone Else Warm),” marking the next chapter following their debut EP COLLAPSE. Blending the nostalgic pull of old-school emo with a modern alternative edge, the band continue to carve out a sound that feels both deeply personal and refreshingly current.
Set for release on March 20th, 2026, the track dives into the emotional toll of giving too much of yourself to others. Frontman Tobias Faulkner explains: “Don’t Set Yourself On Fire (Just To Keep Someone Else Warm) is a song written about watching people taking the best of someone to their detriment. Seeing people leech them of their kindness and love, taking all they have to offer with no intention of giving anything back. It’s something that’s happened to everyone… and it’s a reminder to not let people walk all over you.”
Musically, LOVELOST channel that message through a dynamic blend of heartfelt melodies, driving guitars, and emotionally resonant vocals. The track balances vulnerability with intensity, capturing the weight of its message while building toward cathartic, anthemic moments that linger long after the final note.
In a remarkably short time, LOVELOST have already made a significant impact, earning support from outlets such as BBC Radio 1, Kerrang!, Amazing Radio, Primordial Radio, Dreambound, and more, alongside playlist backing across major streaming platforms. The band also stand as artist ambassadors for Fender, Zildjian, and Shure.
With this release, LOVELOST continue their upward trajectory, delivering a track that resonates on both a personal and universal level—reminding listeners that self-worth should never be sacrificed, and that sometimes the strongest act is simply choosing yourself.
