LAVINA To Represent Serbia At Eurovision 2026 With Electrifying Track “Kraj Mene”

Serbian modern metal outfit Lavina are heading to the international stage after winning the national selection to represent Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with their powerful track “Kraj Mene” (which translates to “Next To Me”). The band secured victory through a combined vote from both the professional jury and the public, delivering a fiery and unforgettable performance that quickly captured the attention of fans across the country.

The upcoming edition of Eurovision—the 70th installment of the long-running competition organized by the European Broadcasting Union—will take place in Vienna, Austria following the nation’s win in 2025. The event will be hosted at the iconic Wiener Stadthalle, with semi-finals scheduled for May 12 and May 14, and the grand final on May 16. A total of 35 countries are expected to participate in the globally televised spectacle.

LAVINA’s performance of “Kraj Mene” stood out for its electrifying energy, fusing modern metal intensity with a commanding stage presence that ignited both the live audience and viewers at home. The band’s explosive delivery quickly generated waves of enthusiastic reactions online, with numerous YouTube commentators praising the performance’s power, authenticity, and the refreshing presence of heavy music in the Eurovision spotlight.

Heavy music has made its mark on Eurovision before—most famously when Finnish monster-metal icons Lordi won the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens with their legendary anthem Hard Rock Hallelujah, becoming the first—and still only—Finnish act to take the crown while setting a then-record 292 points. Now, two decades later, LAVINA aim to carry the torch for heavy music once again as they bring their modern metal firepower to one of the world’s biggest stages.
