Slovenian alternative metalcore force HEI’AN return with striking momentum on their new standalone single “Piercing Blue,” continuing the wave of innovation sparked by their sophomore record Kiss Our Ghosts Goodbye. Known for blending heavy textures with electronic elements and infectious melodies, the band once again expands their sonic identity, delivering a track that feels both familiar and boldly progressive. “Piercing Blue” captures HEI’AN at a pivotal moment — evolving, experimenting, and refusing to be confined by genre expectations.

Driven by shimmering electronics, dynamic instrumentation, and emotionally charged vocals, “Piercing Blue” explores the tension between temptation and resistance. The track introduces a new narrative perspective, marking the emergence of a character set to define the band’s next chapter. “This song is a further step in the evolution of our sound - we’ve had a lot of electronic elements and poppy melodies in our music before, and with this one, we just wanted to sort of continue that wave and see where it takes us, regardless of any genre limitations. Lyrically, it’s very much a ‘baddiecore’ song, exploring the feeling of temptation and the urge to fight it, for the first time ever through the eyes of a character that will heavily mark the new Hei’An era,” explains frontman Blagonič.

Following the success of their latest record, HEI’AN show no signs of slowing down. With new music already planned for 2026, the band continues to build momentum through both studio releases and a growing live presence.
