Kent-based groove metal unit STUCK/DOWN have launched their explosive, long-awaited debut LP, Queue For The Cure, today (20th Feb) via self-release.
Discussing the LP, the band states that "Queue For The Cure is an album revolving around the struggles that come with existing day to day in an uncertain world." They continue, "It is inspired by widespread breakdown in community, moral decay, broken dreams, broken policies and damaged minds. Failing systems, unmanaged anxieties and burnt out hope and overspent trust."
Appealing to the relatable turmoil of everyday life so many face in 2026, they conclude "Queue For The Cure is a polaroid photobook of old and continuing troubles often put in place by third parties or the unnatural pathways we're expected to walk down in today's civilized life."
A ten-track gauntlet detailing the interpersonal and societal turmoil of modern life, STRUCK/DOWN seek to provide a voice to those struggling with one clear intent in mind: from the cause to the symptom, all things must be challenged.
The release of Queue For The Cure comes following a string of highly successful singles across 2025, all coming to a head with the album's lead promotional tracks, "The Slog" and "Leach" in late 2025. These singles saw the band rack up well over 150,000 Spotify streams since their launch, and kickstarted the band's undeniable momentum, which is now being capitalised on with the final release of Queue For The Cure.
The release of previous single "Leach" came alongside the final announcement for Queue For The Cure, which followed groove anthem "The Slog" back in September, both of which saw STRUCK/DOWN valiantly continue with their strongest foot forward into what is now the release of Queue For The Cure.
Queue For The Cure was produced, mixed and mastered by Pete McLarney, and features ten barn-burner tracks showcasing the very best in modern heavy metal. Featuring both "Leach", "The Slog", as well as the band's previously released singles "A Queue For The Cure", "This Tall To Ride" and "One Last Drag", STRUCK/DOWN's debut is a journey through metal aesthetics classic and modern, all melded together in harmony to create an air-tight and undeniably bombastic package.
