Bristol-based trio COBER MOUTH are carving out their place as one of the UK’s most exciting new forces in the nu-metalcore scene. Formed in 2023 by lifelong friends Adam and Dylan, the Cornish-born outfit have already turned heads with their ferocious debut, garnering support from BBC Radio 1, Metal Hammer, and Kerrang!. Following the release of their sophomore EP Untethered and a string of sold-out headline shows, the band have established themselves as a formidable live act, sharing stages with heavyweights like Heart of a Coward and Osiah.
Now, COBER MOUTH are ready to take the next step with their brand-new single ‘Get A Grip’, dropping October 3rd. The track signals a new era for the band, one that pushes their sound into even darker, more primal territory.
Speaking on the new release, Adam explains: “‘GET A GRIP’ is a note to self, written when the walls felt like they were closing in. I found myself torn between perfectionism and fear, doubt and anger. The song lays it all bare — stubbornness, insecurity, resistance, and vengeance on full display. Frantic, feral, barbaric energy drives the track to the edge of sanity. Neolithic, bludgeoning riffs crush through absolute chaos. Our most blunt and dominating release to date.”
With new music, UK shows on the horizon, and unstoppable momentum, COBER MOUTH are proving they’re not just another rising act — they’re a band built to break ceilings and smash through barriers. This is only the beginning.
