MELLA Release New Single; New Album, "Or So I've Been Told...", Out October 10 Via kill iconic/Equal Vision

Legendary independent New York-based rock label Equal Vision Records, kill iconic records and Mella are pleased to present “E-Girls Are Delicious,” the latest single to be lifted from the Friday, October 10 release of Or So I’ve Been Told…, the progressive post-hardcore quartet’s brand new album (pre-order, pre-save & pre-add the album HERE). A deeply unfiltered look at being ashamed of oneself and not caring enough to improve or move forward, this track's guitar-driven peaks give way to melodically dark, keyboard-driven valleys. It's a very sarcastic and somber journey that captures the dichotomy of feeling justified in the moment, then feeling the sting of shame, but it doesn't hurt the way it used to — and that scares you. Stream “E-Girls Are Delicious” on YouTube BELOW and on all platforms HERE.

With roots in raw emotion and an ear for detail, the members of Mella — Danny Ray McCool Jr. (vocals), James Lucas Artwohl (bass, keys), Donnie Maynard Clark (guitar, recording engineer) and Luke Martucci (drums) — blend intricate instrumentation, dynamic shifts, and lyrical vulnerability to create something that hits hard and lingers longer. Their sound pulls from the intensity of post-hardcore, the introspection of emo, and the unpredictability of progressive structures, without ever losing sight of the song itself. Whether on stage or in the studio, Mella doesn’t aim to relive a scene; they’re building something new from the bones of what moved them in the first place.

Mella will be making the following appearances in the U.S. throughout October supporting A Lot Like Birds. Dates below.
