ALIEN WEAPONRY Unleashes “Taniwha” Featuring Randy Blythe

New Zealand's groove metal trio Alien Weaponry has released a powerful new single, “Taniwha,” featuring Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe. The track is part of their third studio album, Te Rā, which debuted on March 28, 2025, via Napalm Records.

The accompanying music video, directed by Francis Baker, presents a narrative confronting corporate greed and overconsumption. Blythe delivers his verse to a room of corporate figures, amplifying the song's critical message.

Bassist Tūranga Morgan-Edmonds initiated the collaboration after Blythe expressed interest in the band's Māori cultural themes. Blythe contributed his own lyrics, including lines in te reo Māori, and recorded his parts remotely.

Alien Weaponry will support Avatar on a U.S. tour starting November 5, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona.
