London-based progressive hard‐rock vanguards Esoterica return in powerful form with their latest single “Burn”, released on August 1, 2025 via Year of the Rat Records, the UK label behind Save Us and Black Orchid Empire. The band, known for their fusion of heavy riffs, soaring melody, and proggy complexity, continue carving their space in the modern rock world.
“Burn” runs at 4:53 and features a driving tempo of 134 BPM in the key of G major—a contrast of intensity and emotional weight that typifies Esoterica’s evolving sound. The track blends razor‑sharp guitars, dynamic rhythm sequencing, and impassioned vocals, pairing aggressive musicality with accessible hooks for an emotionally striking impact.
Formed in London, Esoterica have released four albums to date and are currently preparing their fifth. They’ve supported major arena tours and appeared at top-tier European festivals, earning praise from Metal Hammer, Kerrang!, and Prog magazine (where they were listed among the year’s top 20 albums). Their music has amassed over 10 million streams across YouTube and Spotify.
With the release of “Burn” and their new label partnership, Esoterica are poised for a breakout year. Fans can expect fresh music throughout 2025, including an upcoming UK tour featuring appearances at Uprising and Mangata festivals—culminating in a home headline show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on September 26.
