The show was sold out!
The openers were UK modern/nu-metal act Graphic Nature. I've been following the band from the beginning and was also really looking forward to seeing them as well, cause I liked the material os far, two albums that the band produced. They opened with Headstrong and shook the walls of the club., I took a look back, and the club was packed till the end, which is great to see for the opening band. The frontman, Harvey Freeman, was amazed how come in a club with 400 souls capacity there were bars in front of the stage. He pointed this few times. The communication with the crowd was continuous. He pointed out that the band lyrics are about mental health and that we must look for each other and talk. That fathers taught us to be strong and not let emotions out as men. he got a big applause for that.
They deliver a powerful set with songs like Locked In, Sour, N.F.A., Killing Floor, Bad Blood and ended with Frctured. The crowd was pleased with the performance. Can't wait to see these guys again!
Next to hit the stage were Unity TX, a four-piece that combines rap and metal like in the good all days of nu metal, but with a more hardcore approach. They hit us with World Of Malice and the people start moving. We could see hands in the air, waving like in a rap scene, chanting, a party was guaranteed!
Next was a very oiled metalcore machine, Crystal Lake. They opened the dances with Blüdgod. A doom of sound was unleashed on the venue. fast paced guitar riffs, the whole band handbanging, one word chaos. While the vocalist comparison...John Robert Centorrino, formerly of The Last Ten Seconds of Life, is not Ryo Kinoshita and vice versa. Their different style of vocalist, but if we look at live performance, they certainly lost that power, because Ryo was jumping and moving on stage with ferocity. They closed with Apollo. The crowd loves it, and that is all that counts at the end of the night!
We almost arrived at the ned of the night. There were only headliners left. thrown I was wondering if there is a chance they will be longer than Crystal Lake because they had released an EP long 11 min and a new album, 20 minutes long. So this was more of a co-headliner if we look at the playing time. So it was obvious they would play all the discography so far. They opened with a backfire. This is one of those bands I like to call, then even if you are a paraplegic, you will start to move. Their execution is fearless and on point. Guitarists Johan Liljeblad and Andreas Malm synchronized banging and moving is amazing, Marcus Lundqvist is one of the strongest vocalists in this style of music. He also joked when he announced the song vent. "This is a song about air conditioning." The climax of the night was certainly songs like new low, guilt, nights, and of course on the verge. The band delivered a fierce performance, and the crowd could go home very pleased. Till next time, thrown
Next were Playing Favorites and Cross Me. Then we could hear the latest single, Heinous. The heads were banging hard! The band ended with Roc Shit. Loved their set and looking forward to seeing them too!
