Swedish melodic death metal band In Flames has announced the departure of drummer Tanner Wayne, who joined the group in 2018. The band expressed gratitude for Wayne's contributions over the past several years, stating:
"It is with profound gratitude and appreciation that we announce our creative decision to part ways with Tanner Wayne. His dedication and musicianship over the past several years has left, and will continue to leave, a lasting mark on this band. We wish him nothing but the best."
Wayne, known for his previous work with bands such as Underminded, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, and Chiodos, made his live debut with In Flames on July 4, 2018, in Brno, Czech Republic. He contributed to the band's 2023 album Foregone, which blends aggressive, metallic, and melodic elements characteristic of In Flames' evolving sound.
As of now, In Flames has not announced a replacement for Wayne. The band is continuing to tour in support of Foregone, released in February 2023 via Nuclear Blast.
Fans are encouraged to stay tuned to In Flames' official channels for updates on the band's lineup and upcoming tour dates.
