June 19, 2026 – Boundaries unveil “May this pain never leave,” from "Yearning: the unbeautiful after" (July 17, Sumerian Records), accompanied by a blistering performance video. Directed by the band’s longtime photographer/videographer Sarah Holick, the video was filmed at The Webster Underground in their hometown of Hartford, Conn., where Boundaries thanked fans who attended the shoot with an intimate performance following filming. “The premise of the song is laid out very plainly and intentionally,” Matthew McDougal notes. “It exists as an extension of the Colin Parkes quote: ‘The pain of grief is just as much a part of life as the joy of love; it is, perhaps, the price we pay for love, the cost of commitment.’” The song was written in the wake of the 2025 plane crash that claimed the lives of Dave Shapiro, Kendall Fortner, and Emma Huke along with three others. “With the sudden and violent loss of a number of people close to the band this past year it became impossible...
