Multi-platinum rock juggernauts SHINEDOWN have released their explosive new single Killing Fields via Atlantic Records today, July 15, 2025 — marking the third preview of their upcoming eighth studio album.
Opening with simmering tension before erupting into a soaring, high-voltage chorus, Killing Fields layers Brent Smith’s signature vocals over punching guitars and anthemic groove. Lyrically, the track navigates modern-day chaos with emotional depth and open-ended nuance — with Smith encouraging fans to “interpret it the way they hear it, feel it, and experience it,” crafting a bold challenge to think independently in “complicated times” .
This release joins 2025’s earlier singles Three Six Five and Dance, Kid, Dance, which saw Dance, Kid, Dance reach #1 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart — marking SHINEDOWN as the only artist to secure 20 #1s on that chart.
The announcement comes just days before the band launches their largest-ever arena tour across the U.S., kicking off July 19 in Boston, followed by historic headlining shows at Madison Square Garden and L.A.’s Kia Forum — supported by Bush and Morgan Wade.
With ‘Killing Fields’, SHINEDOWN don’t just rock — they push the listener to think, feel, and question. This is rock with purpose.
