Grammy‑winning guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Daron Malakian & Scars on Broadway have unleashed their crushing new single Destroy The Power, a politically charged anthem that hits with blistering riffs and scorching truths. This release marks the bold follow‑up to Killing Spree from their upcoming third studio album Addicted To The Violence, due July 18, 2025 via Scarred For Life Records.
Malakian delivers powerful social commentary over a groove‑heavy backdrop mixed with eastern‑influenced modal tones. On the track, he snarls “We take the power and we can destroy you,” a biting critique of systemic corruption and everyday authoritarianism. The band’s slowdown from the thrash energy of Killing Spree to a darker, more forceful pace heightens the song’s ominous tone.
Destroy The Power follows the album’s lead single, Killing Spree, and sets an incendiary tone for Addicted To The Violence, Malakian’s most personal statement in years. The 10‑track album features Malakian performing all instruments and vocals, with long‑time collaborators Orbel Babayan (guitar) and Roman Lomtadze (drums) completing the lineup.
With ‘Destroy The Power’, Scars on Broadway sharpen their critique of violence and control — a relentless wake‑up call ahead of Addicted To The Violence.
