WE BURN BRIDGES - Release Second Single "Silhouette" From Upcoming EP "Head Prison"

Northern Territory's Post-Hardcore five-piece We Burn Bridges today premiere their monster second single "Silhouette" from forthcoming EP 'Head Prison', out on May 17.

Where the first single "Self Drought" touches on the nature of addiction and fixation and how unhealthy that can be without perspective, "Silhouette" tackles the topic of false people. "Silhouette" is about vocalist Jack Ryan's experiences with fake people and their tendency to hide behind the guises that they create to fit in with others around them. Ryan speaks about the nature of the track and where the inspiration has been drawn from, "Growing up in a church environment you learn very quickly who is genuine and who’s just there to tick boxes. You see people living behind fake personas and pretending to be what they think you want them to be."

Alisdair Mahoney provides the driving guitar riffs alongside Ben Masters (Tapestry), Manolis Kamitsis adds the deep bass lines, Luke Kohler keeps the beat with heavy drums and raw vocals rip through Jack Ryan to form We Burn Bridges.

Isolated away in Darwin, We Burn Bridges has been carving their name into the local heavy music scene over the last few years. In 2016 the track "Coward" was nominated for Northern Territory's Heavy Song of the Year. Since this, the band has been working hard behind the scenes to add new flavour to "Coward", to create four new songs to add to their repertoire and to bring the 'Head Prison' EP to life.

Having supported artists to the likes of Northlane, In Hearts Wake and Hellions to name a few, We Burn Bridges is no stranger to the stage and the band just recently tore apart Happy Yess in Darwin with fellow hometowners Assailant, Clockwork Riot and Fat Pigeon in support of their first single.

"Self Drought" brought with its release attention from triple j through Unearthed radio and Short. Fast. Loud. as well as plays on RAGE, an add to Spotify's Homegrown and Heavy and Clip of the Week on Clipped.tv.

We Burn Bridges brand new EP 'Head Prison' will be released on Friday May 17 and can be pre-ordered now at iTunes & Apple Music/Spotify/Google Play and all good online stores and streaming outlets. Singles "Self Drought" and "Silhouette" are out now.
