Fusing a unique blend of post-hardcore, progressive metal and synth-wave / video game inspired music, North of Eden came to fruition in the summer of 2015 by founding drummer Nick McGoldrick. Shortly thereafter becoming acquainted with singer/songwriter and producer Tyler Burns, the project set their sights high on creating a captivating marriage between technicality, honesty, and independence.

With an established lineup, they played a number of shows over the course of 2016. The subsequent release of their debut EP, “Origins,” in September 2016 was a considerably valiant breath of fresh air in an often over-saturated music scene. NOE showed they could intertwine heavy, beautifully crushing tracks like “My Reflection(s)” with melancholic, emotionally-driven numbers like “12.6.06.” Shortly after the EP release, the band premiered a new single, “You and I.” An enticing blend of rhythm, chord, and melody, the song received high acclaim and would mark an end of an era for the band.

After several difficult yet necessary lineup changes, the two set out in Spring 2017 to write and record their first full-length record. The release of the albums lead single “Nightwalker” served as a new beginning for the project, combining a forthcoming brutality with melodies that stick with the listener is hallmark NOE.

The stage is currently set for the future of North of Eden. They will be releasing their first full-length album in 2018, which will be titled “Past Lives of Future Selves.” In a flurry of high-soaring powerful vocals, hypnotic guitar savagery, new yet nostalgic keys and creatively-structured drumming, NOE offer a sound like no other.
